Camping at Bodega with the Family

After several trips of our own to Bodega Bay, we decided to try to get the whole family there for a weekend campout. The first weekend everyone could agree on was in late September. We were able to reserve two sites out on the Doran Beach sandspit for September 24-29, Thursday-Monday.

We camped on the long sand spit which is Doran County Park - Craig and family in their new trailer, Catherine and family in a tent, and we were in our motor home.

Everyone was hungry, so we went to the Tides Restaurant in town, right on the bay, where we had a large table in the corner.

We enjoyed watching fishermen, seals, pelicans, jelly fish, and other interesting sights on the water as we waited for breakfast.

Friday afternoon the Fisses joined us. Here Kelly and Karl climb on the rocks which form the breakwater.
