Nancy's mother, Clarita, died December 6, 2001. The family held a memorial at Searsville Lake near Stanford University where Mom practiced diving for the Olympics in 1924.

On a drizzly December day, the family approaches the site of the 10 meter diving platform which was on the Searsville dam.

All that remains is the steel framework which supported the wooden diving platform.
