A view of the umbrella (hti) topping the Shwedagon pinnacle. It is more than 16 feet high, weighs 1.25 tons, and is covered with 1100 diamonds, 1485 bells, and thousands more precious stones. It is said that there is more gold on the Shwedagon Pagoda than in the vaults of the Bank of England.
