Summer Camping 2004

When we got back to our campsite, we found that our next door neighbors had an 8 year old (Amy) and a 3 year old (Emily). Kelly and Amy became great friends in about 90 seconds. Here they are building a fairy school and putting up the American flag.

The next day we ended up having our 2 families spend the entire day together. We started by going for a hike on a nearby trail. Nobody could keep up with Amy who led the way. That's she off to the right in this picture.

Here are Amy, Kate & Kelly at the top of the hill we climbed. The wild flowers were amazing.

It started to drizzle so Patty & Jessica pulled out the umbrella. Kate didn't seem to mind. Emily and her Mom, Wendy, used hats to protect themselves.

We then went to the laundromat and showers together. Finally we combined forces on dinner and enjoyed a meal together. The kids went first.

Kelly was very sad to have to say goodbye to Amy (just after this picture was taken). We got up very early the next morning to leave Yellowstone.
