After we got in the car to leave Old Faithful (after we had had our hot chocolate, bought some groceries, etc) we realized that it was time for it to blow again, so we drove to the edge of the parking lot and viewed it from the comfort of our car. This shot has the advantage of letting you see that we weren't the only ones there. :)

Some of the hot pools were even pretty colors.

And some were pink and looked like they might be on Jupiter or something.

We decided to head to the northern end of the park to see the Mammoth blah blah because I remembered how different they were. They are different.

This stuff looks like it belongs on the moon.

It's even more striking when the sun shines on it, but we got very little of that.

Jessica enjoyed the climb up on my shoulder.

On the way back down she was awake enough to sit on my shoulders.

Weird stuff.

On the way out we saw some elk (and more wildflowers).
