Then we drove to Las Vegas (for a complete change). We stayed at an RV park where the main attraction was the swimming pool. The girls had a great time, but had to wait out an impressive thunderstorm which delivered 1" of rain - fully 1/4 of Las Vegas' annual rainfall.

Our last night we stayed at a reservoir outside of Bakersfield. It turned out to be a local hangout with hundreds of people playing, boating, partying, etc. Although the park was very crowded, our site was great. We had lots of grass that fronted on the reservoir.

Here's our last campfire of the trip. It was a great ending to a varied vacation. I spent 16 days on the road and 12 in the trailer and drove 4,600 miles.

By the last day of driving even Jessie had learned how to wear the headphones to listen to a movie. We could drive forever as long as a movie was playing...
